card making: reusing materials

Learn how to reuse materials such as product packaging, catalog pages, and other everyday household and office items to create elements for small projects.  For example, I took the box that a candle came in and created little embellishments with the help of some craft punches.  This is a great way to make unique elements if you’re working with a budget.

I’ve been asked several times about the chevron shapes used in this card and how they were created.  They were made using the Stampin’ Up! chevron border punch (#132154) and it just so happens that they are running their Sale-a-Bration promotion now until March 31st.  Get a free gift with every $50 spent!  I’ll be posting a “one tool three ways” article using this particular paper punching tool in the very near future and showcasing different ways to incorporate paper punching that you won’t want to miss!

Stay tuned for more examples of how to reuse materials to create cards … until then, be crafty!
