It’s pretty typical for my husband and me to go for coffee on Sunday mornings. It’s kind of a nice break from making French pressed coffee every morning, plus we get to enjoy some sort of delicious pastry item. And it’s also a nice way to end the weekend, especially when we support the local cafes and bakeries.
Last Sunday, we ventured out to the Danish Pastry House in Medford for the first time. I love to buy bread and cookies from them each summer at the farmers market at Harvard. It is quite a big place and they offer things like panini sandwiches, coffee drinks, and beautiful cakes in addition to a variety of pastries. There are plenty of two-seat tables, plus a bar area with high stools. Parking was a little questionable but we figured it was Sunday so we were safe. It’s located near Tufts University so I imagine that they get a lot of foot traffic when school is in session. I enjoyed a chocolate croissant with a large latte, and my husband gave the blueberry scone and their French roast coffee two thumbs up.
