While my sister was here visiting me a couple of weeks ago, we got our nails done at the MiniLuxe in Lexington. Afterward, we popped over next door to the Ride Studio Cafe for some coffee and pastries. It’s a pretty cool little cafe that also shares the space with a bike shop that offers full bike services. I heard that it’s owned by the same people that own Diesel Cafe and Bloc 11 too.
We each had a latte and she enjoyed a berry scone while I had a croissant. I have to say it was one of the best croissants I’ve had in a long time. I found out that they get their pastries from Sorelle Bakery in Charlestown, so I might have to check that place out sometime too. What’s neat is that they brew and sell Stumptown roasted coffee – the Portland, Oregon based coffee that has become our new favorite lately.
I took my husband back there not too long ago and he agreed that the lattes and pastries are very good. It was a weekend when we went back so it was pretty crowded in the cafe because regular bike customers/riders began to trickle in too. If you’re ever out in the Lexington center area, you can’t complain about the metered parking rate: only 25 cents per hour! Makes it well worth the drive out to Ride Studio Cafe for some brewed Stumptown.
