I am in love with this baby sweater pattern! I found it on Ravelry and decided to try it out since it’s knit in one piece (I hate seaming!) and I liked the look of the buttons on the shoulder. It’s knit from the top down and the honeycomb pattern along the bottom was easy to figure out once I got the hang of it.
I could see making a scarf out using this honeycomb pattern too. I used the Valley Yarns “Southwick” yarn in an orange hue called “ginger”. I love the softness from the blend of cotton and bamboo in this yarn, so I think it will be comfortable for our little one to wear. I ended up using less than 2 skeins to make the sweater.
Again, another feature I liked about the pattern was the shoulder with buttons. The “Tummy Warmer” pattern is by Angela Tong and is available here. I’m sure I’m going to whip up at least one (if not ten!) more of these using different yarns and needle sizes (to make larger sizes). Now if I could just figure out how to make this in my size … 😉
