That’s right, my first craft show event since last July when I was about 4 months pregnant; it’s time to get back into the crafty part of my life! I’m lucky to be able to set up a table in my friend Rebecca‘s studio at Joy Street in Somerville for this year’s SOS event taking place the first weekend of May on the 5th and 6th from 12 to 6 pm each day.
I hope you’ll be able to join us that weekend. Joy Street Studios is #97 on the map and it’s one of the designated trolley stops which makes it super accessible. There is a parking lot there if you decide to drive too. Rebecca designs beautiful jewelry pieces (she made my wedding jewelry!) and I’ll have my handmade greeting cards on display. We’ll also have some wine and snacks for our visitors!
In preparation for the show I’ve been trying to get my butt in gear to create new card designs. Two of the biggest occasions that people tend to shop for during SOS (based on my past experiences) are mother’s day and graduations. Here is one of the mother’s day designs that will be available at the show and is also in my Etsy shop online for those of you unable to make the trek out to Somerville (or if you’re planning ahead and in need of a card right now!):
I’m still working on the photo of a graduation card I managed to put together (can’t get the lighting to represent the color of the card base very well), but in the meantime here are two more card designs that will be available at the show:
And as you can see I’ve gone with a coffee and tea theme lately – two things that work well to keep me awake and crafting lately. I’m loving the concept of rubber stamps that have cutting dies that go with them; both the tea cup and the coffee cup here are from Papertrey Ink. I’ve got to dig up more from my stamp collection this week so stay tuned for more designs and wish me luck in the crafting mojo department!
