Wait, didn’t I just write about this place last month? Back again so soon? Yes, and this time for brunch!
I love taking a friend to a restaurant that they’ve never experienced before and such was the case on one Saturday afternoon. Our party of three adults plus one in a high chair arrived around 12:30 pm and managed to get a table within a couple of minutes. Our friend enjoyed “The Hot Veggie Mess” which was two sunny side up local farm eggs, home fries, baby spinach, asparagus, mushrooms, caramelized onions, cheddar, scallions and pickled banana pepper relish. Whoa!
My husband and I both had pizzas. He liked the “Not Pepperoni” pizza which had Sopressata, mozzarella, tomato and pecorino. Look at the char on the crust from the wood-fired oven!
And I went with the mushroom and fontina pizza which was made with a mushroom sauce, pecorino, and gremolata. It was so delicious! The mushrooms have so much intense flavor cooked into them and the lemon zest from the gremolata adds just the right amount of zing to the bite.
